Your day begins early at 6:00 am when a representative meets you in the lobby of your Beijing hotel, holding a sign with your name for easy identification. You’ll then be transferred to the airport to catch a morning flight to Xi’an, one of China’s most historically rich cities. Upon arrival in Xi’an, your local guide will greet you at the airport and begin your journey with a direct transfer to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors Museum. As you explore the museum, your guide will provide deep insights into the incredible history behind this UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll learn how the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, ordered thousands of life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots to be buried near his tomb over 2,000 years ago, designed to protect him in the afterlife. Walking through the excavation pits offers a striking view into China’s ancient imperial past and the craftsmanship of the era.
After your exploration of the Terracotta Army, your tour continues with a visit to the vibrant Muslim Quarter of Xi’an. This area is known not only for its deep cultural roots but also for its bustling snack street, where you can see how Islamic culture has influenced the local food, architecture, and daily life. You’ll have time to wander through the colorful streets, sample some of the region’s most popular street foods, and observe the unique fusion of Chinese and Muslim heritage. The tour also includes a stop at Xi’an’s ancient city wall, built over 600 years ago during the Ming Dynasty. Remarkably well-preserved, the wall offers a great vantage point for viewing the city and imagining life in ancient times. After your full day of discovery, you’ll be transferred back to the Xi’an airport for your return flight to Beijing. Upon arrival, a driver will meet you at the airport and provide comfortable transport back to your hotel, concluding your enriching day trip.
